Description: Roadmapping and steering multi-stakeholder discussions on WEEE, information exchange between regions, countries and continents on best practices and lessons learned. This service can help to learn different regions and countries in the world to learn from best practices and experiences in other regions. Such work also includes taking into account cultural differences between regions and the impact on the organisation of take-back and recycling.

6. Recycling policy evaluation and development; take-back system development; impact assessment

Description: Closely related to 4: Evaluation and delivering of options to develop more efficient recycling policies. It can help legislators and policy makers to answer specific policy questions like inventories on potential environmental problems, the impacts of various policy scenarios, the interrelation between various policy and non-regulatory instruments, indicators for measuring performance.

7. Recycling technology evaluation

Description: Environmental and eco-efficiency evaluation of technologies, assessment of Best-Available Technologies. This service can help to compare or optimise recycling technologies with respect to environmental, economic performance as well as comparing weight based and environmentally based recycling targets.

8. System and process auditing (Eco-efficiency)

Description: Self-optimisation, auditing of recyclers and systems. This service can help recyclers and take-back systems to perform (external) audits on recycling performance, functioning of processes or even providing a black-box function to report on destinations of materials fractions without exposing economic and competition sensitive information.

Description: Review of other studies in the field. Review of self-declaration by stakeholders.

11. WEEE info center and forum

Description: Providing information on WEEE implementation and transposition status and details. One of the ideas is to develop a global internet forum on ewaste where the latest development and news can be placed online and be discussed as well.

12. Ecodesign advice

Description: General ecodesign advice for producers, assistance in environmental benchmarking and support towards various company departments to realise structural ecodesign improvements.

13. Organisational design related to take-back systems

Description: Support for setting up new take-back systems and improvement of existing ones.

14. RoHS implementation and exemptions

Description: RoHS related advice on the implementation in the EU-25 and similar initiatives in other countries as well as (technical) advice on potential exemptions and the process to request exemptions.
